Three Tri-City businesses have ranked among the fastest-growing companies in Canada, according to a MacLean’s magazine annual list.
Coquitlam-based Eco Pavement, All-Pro Services and Invictus Professional Snowfighters of Port Coquitlam ranked 98th, 149th and 313th, respectively, out of a field of 500.
The companies were selected based on five-year revenue growth over the fiscal years 2014 to ’19. Only companies with revenue over $2 million were eligible to participate, and growth rates were calculated using a base-year minimum of $200,000. Those selected were required to fill out several forms, including self-reported financial statements.
The top three companies across Canada were Article (a Vancouver-based online furniture retailer that posted five-year revenue growth of more than 24,000%), Levio (a Quebec City-based business and government consulting service with reported revenue growth of nearly 17,000%) and Prodigy (a Burlington, Ont.-based educational software company with revenue growth of nearly 15,000%).
Of the three Tri-City-based companies that made the list, Eco Pavement — billed as a green solution to traditional asphalt, concrete or tiles — led five-year revenue growth at 1,033%.
All-Pro Services — a gas, boiler and electrical contractor — posted 603% growth over the five-year period while Invictus Professional Snowfighting — a snow and ice removal company from PoCo that has recently expanded to Washington and Oregon — reported 239% growth over the same period.
