Are you ready to vote for your next mayor, Anmore?

Anmore, decision day is almost here.

On Saturday (Oct. 15), village residents will head to the gymnasium at Anmore Elementary (30 Elementary Rd.) to cast their ballot in the 2022 civic election.

Voting boxes will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Chief Election Officer Karen Elrick tells the Tri-City News a total of 302 voters took advantage of the village's only advance poll on Oct. 5.

But there is good news for undecided voters, it's simply one or the other.

Anmore will only be voting for its next mayor this weekend as a result of several candidates choosing to withdraw from the race.

On Sept. 20, the village's council was officially acclaimed and will consist of the following for the next four years:

  • Polly Krier (incumbent)
  • Douglas Richardson
  • Kim Trowbridge (incumbent)
  • Paul Weverink (incumbent)

As well, Kerri Palmer Isaak was acclaimed at the nomination period deadline, 4 p.m. on Sept. 9, to retain her seat as the village's representative on School District 43's (SD43) board of education.

Eligible voters tomorrow will check a box for either John McEwen, the incumbent, or Mario Piamonte, the challenger.
