The B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure said it will be making an announcement about the opening day of the Evergreen Extension on Monday morning.
A press conference has been called for 10 a.m. and local members of parliament and the legislature are expected to be on hand for the announcement.
While the province has maintained that the line will be open by the end of the year, an exact date has not been set. Trains have been testing the tracks for months and the stations are all complete.
