One person was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a vehicle rolled over at Walker Street and Austin Avenue in southwest Coquitlam Tuesday morning.

According to Coquitlam RCMP, investigators are still trying to determine exactly what happened but it appears a white sedan collided with a black SUV, which rolled over onto the sidewalk.

"One occupant from the SUV was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries," said Staff. Sgt. Harinder Kheleh. "It was more of a precaution. The individual in the white sedan was picked up by family."

He added the road was shut down for a couple of hours after the incident as crews worked to clear the site and determine what happened. By 11 a.m., he said the road had re-opened.

"We are still working on the investigation," Kheleh said. "The cause of the accident is still being determined."
