Autopsies of the two people killed in a Coquitlam house fire earlier this week are expected to be completed by today.
Sgt. Jennifer Pound, spokesperson for the RCMP's Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, said Thursday that one autopsy had been completed, and the other was scheduled for later that day or today (July 12).
She said the investigation is moving forward, and that police are seeking a definitive cause of death.
Families of both victims have been identified, but the RCMP has still not released the names of the man and woman found in the home in the 1100-block of Cottonwood Avenue.
Coquitlam Fire and Rescue was called to the residence for a structure fire around midnight on Tuesday, and found the two people inside the home. Attempts to resuscitate them were unsuccessful.
