Barbara Junker has announced her intention to run in the Port Moody civic election in November.

Barbara Junker has announced her intention to run in the Port Moody civic election in November.

Junker, a 25-year resident of Port Moody, said she plans to bring a collaborative, consensus-building approach to city hall, noting her "extensive experience" in conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation.

She identified major issues as including the official community plan and development around Evergreen Line stations.

Junker has served on the city's community care and transportation and environmental protection committees, as well as the election task force.

She ran in the 2011 election, finishing about 50 votes shy of a winning a seat.

Civic elections will be held on Nov. 15.
