The organization representing B.C. parents with students in schools will be celebrating 90 years with an Annual General Meeting and conference in Coquitlam.
The BC Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils is planning a celebration May 24, followed by the spring conference May 25-27 at the Executive Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre.
BCCPAC represents school and district parent advisory councils, including SD43's District Parent Advisory Council.
According to a press release, the first meeting of the BC Parent Teachers Federation took place in Vancouver on April 22, 1922 with over 283 delegates attending.
