Konstantin Dimopoulos is painting the town... blue.
This week, the Australian artist applied a temporary, biodegradable colourant to 16 trees in front of Port Moody city hall and on a large tree in front of the PoMo Arts Centre as part of the Vancouver International Sculpture Biennale public art project.
Dimopoulos also recently painted the trees blue in Richmond and West Vancouver to generate conversation about the depleting supply of native forests.
An artist's reception will be held on Sunday at PoMo city hall (100 Newport Dr.) from 3 to 5 p.m.
