Work will soon get underway on the Evergreen Line's Burquitlam Station.
Construction fencing will go up next week and parking at Burquitlam Plaza will be reconfigured. Later this month, the former Dairy Queen will be demolished.
Nearby business owners can expect to see daytime construction activities including material hauling, demolition and heavy machinery, from Monday through Saturday between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Work on the column foundations and elevated guideway is set to start in June.
The work involves assembling the segment launch truss - the equipment used to lift guideway segments into position - in the Evergreen project lands north of Como Lake Avenue, near Clarke Road and Kemsley Avenue.
Foundation and guideway construction will proceed south on Clarke and North roads to Lougheed Town Centre Station.
