Coquitlam hit the jackpot last week with a $1.5-million payout as host city to the casino on United Boulevard.
And the most recent quarter includes the opening days for the rebranded Hard Rock Casino Vancouver.
City staff say the municipality collected $1,564,520 as part of its 10% cut of net profits for Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, 2013. The Hard Rock Casino Vancouver, formerly Boulevard Casino, launched on Dec. 20.
The windfall brings the city's total casino revenues to around $97 million since the gaming facility opened in 2002. The city spends the money on major capital programs and projects for non-profit groups.
