Commuters using the Port Moody West Coast Express stop will see changes to the area starting later this month as crews prepare to build the Evergreen Line's Moody Centre Station.
In late May crews will begin road construction on Hugh Street, between Spring Street and the WCE parking lot, with work expected to run until the end of July.
At that point, Hugh will become the new exit point for buses and commuters from the PoMo Transit Exchange and WCE. A new traffic signal will also be installed at St. Johns and Hugh streets.
Crews will also begin building new parking lots to the east and south of the existing lot; there will be no change to the number of stalls available to commuters during the reconstruction of the parking area.
Commuters can also expect to see changes to the public pick-up and drop-off points for WCE and TransLink passengers.
Drivers will still access the area via Williams Street but will exit at Hugh.
Crews will be working between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. with traffic control personnel on site.
Once the changes to the access and parking lot areas are complete, crews will begin building the Evergreen Line Moody Centre Station.
