Don those bell bottoms and rev up your muscle car: The graduates of Coquitlam's Centennial Secondary are hosting a reunion for the class of '78.

Organizers want to spread the news far and wide to make sure people get the details of the 45th year class reunion.

Organizer Darlene Jager said the event will be an informal evening of fun and memories.

"We just want people to get together," said Jager.

The event will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 24 at the John B Neighbourhood Pub at 1000 Austin Ave.

There is no cover charge and guests are responsible for purchasing their own food and drink; howevrer, the Centennial grad guests will be in one section to enable people to reconnect, have fun and make new memories.

Jager said it would be great if people would let organizers know on the Centennial Secondary School 1978, 45-year reunion Facebook page.

So far about 52 people have committed.

Although Centennial Secondary has been rebuilt, there are still a lot of memories to share, said Jager.

People she has talked to say they have more time to reconnect with old friends because they are retired and their kids are grown.

"This will be a fun time," said Jager.

Other ways to connect with fellow grads, if you're not on Facebook, is through the Centennial High School page on classmates.com.
