Cops seek second Money Mart suspect

Coquitlam RCMP are searching for a second man who allegedly tried to get a pre-paid Visa card from a local Money Mart using fraudulent identification. The suspect entered the PoCo Money Mart on the afternoon of March 14.

Coquitlam RCMP are searching for a second man who allegedly tried to get a pre-paid Visa card from a local Money Mart using fraudulent identification.

The suspect entered the PoCo Money Mart on the afternoon of March 14. He's described as an Asian man in his mid 20s and about 5'5" tall.

Police believe he may be linked to similar incidents at other Money Marts.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity is asked to call 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2013-6935.

Police issued a similar call for help in identifying a suspect also believed to be trying to obtain pre-paid credit cards at Money Mart stores using fake ID.

That man, who allegedly tried the scam at a Coquitlam Money Mart on March 13, is described as a Middle Eastern man in his 20s, 5'11" tall and 170 pounds and with some facial hair. He's also believed to be linked to similar incidents at other Money Marts in the area.

Anyone with information about that suspect's identity is asked to call police at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2013-6874 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
