Coquitlam-Burke all-candidates set for May 1

Coquitlam residents living in Town Centre and on Westwood Plateau and Burke Mountain can hear from those vying for their votes in next month's provincial election.

Coquitlam residents living in Town Centre and on Westwood Plateau and Burke Mountain can hear from those vying for their votes in next month's provincial election.

The Westwood Plateau Community Association will host an all-candidates' meeting for the riding of Coquitlam-Burke Mountain on Wednesday, May 1 at 7 p.m. The event, at Summit community centre (in Summit middle school, 1450 Parkway Blvd.) will see BC Liberal MLA Douglas Horne square off against the NDP's Chris Wilson and the BC Conservatives' Shane Kennedy.

Meanwhile, the Tri-Cities' Chamber of Commerce will also hold debates in the lead-up to the Tuesday, May 14 vote:

Coquitlam-Burke Mountain: April 29, 7 p.m. at the David Lam campus of Douglas College, Coquitlam;

Coquitlam-Maillardville: April 30, 7 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Inn and Convention Centre, Coquitlam;

Port Moody-Coquitlam: May 7, 7 p.m. in the Inlet Theatre at Port Moody city hall;

and Port Coquitlam: May 9, 7 p.m. at the PoCo Inn and Suites Hotel and Conference Centre, Port Coquitlam.
