PHOTOS: Coquitlam collision causes traffic congestion near Gleneagle Secondary

First responders on scene to what appears to be a head-on crash between a vehicle and a van.

It's unclear if anyone was injured, but a collision at a major Coquitlam intersection is causing some backups this afternoon (Nov. 4).

As schools ended and traffic began to increase shortly after 3 p.m., a motor vehicle incident took place at Guildford Way and Lansdowne Drive — just west of Gleneagle Secondary and east of Scott Creek Middle.

In a photo sent to the Tri-City News, it appears a truck and a small four-door sedan collided head-on.

The westbound lanes of Guildford Way are currently blocked by first responders, as well as a northbound lane on Lansdowne

Coquitlam RCMP officers are also directing traffic at the scene.

We'll update this story with more information as it becomes available.
