Schools are open throughout School District 43 today, in Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Anmore and Belcarra but some activity buses were cancelled, For more information, visit www.sd43.bc.ca.

Tonight, Tuesday, SD43 trustees are expected to approve a new policy that will require an announcement of school closure during extreme weather conditions to be made on CKNW, CKWX and CBC by 6:30 a.m., if possible, not 7:30 a.m. as previously required.

All schools have extreme weather plans in place, and fan outs for distributing information.
