Coquitlam Forensic Psychiatric Hospital patient caught after being unlawfully at large

Coquitlam RCMP are seeking Landon Hayes Kibbe after he failed to return to the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in Coquitlam Monday. He was on a daypass.

*UPDATE: Coquitlam RCMP say the man who had been unlawfully at large after he failed to return to the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital has been caught.

Landon Hayes Kibbe was reported overdue on a day pass on Aug. 17 at about 3:30 p.m.

At the time, police asked people not to approach Kibbe because he may behave in a way that presents a risk to himself or the public.

Cpl. Michael McLaughlin confirmed it’s the job of the police to immediately alert the public in cases like these.

The last patient to go missing from the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in Coquitlam was Ajia Richardson, who was unlawfully at large for nearly two weeks in May.
