Bargain hunters will be scouring Coquitlam as part of a two-day City-Wide Garage Sale and Giveaway event this weekend.
More than 100 residents have registered to take part in the sale, which runs Saturday and Sunday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. A map of participating homes is available on the city's website (coquitlam.ca/garagesale) listing the address of the vendor and which days they are participating.
Coquitlam has always held a city-wide garage sale in the spring, however council recently voted to expand the program to Saturdays and Sunday and added a second event in the fall. The revised edition of the sale now includes giveaway opportunities to enhance the options for reusing old household items.
Last spring, more than 200 participants signed up for the city-wide sale, which is open to detached and duplex homes as well as multi-family homes that have property owner, manager or strata approval.
