The city of Coquitlam will be holding a town hall meeting Thursday, April 11, for anyone interested in sharing ideas, asking questions or voicing their opinion on where the city is going.
The informal meeting will run from 7 to 10 p.m. at Coquitlam City Hall, and will not have a set agenda. Instead, those wishing to participate in person can simply come and pick up a microphone or attend as a spectator.
For those who can’t make it in person, the town hall meeting will also be streamed online at http://www.coquitlam.ca/webcasts starting at 7 p.m.
Online participants can submit questions through email at [email protected]; post them to the event wall on the city’s Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/cityofcoquitlam; and share them on Twitter, tweeting questions to @cityofcoquitlam or by using the hashtag #cqtownhall.
Anyone submitting questions through social media or email should do so before 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 11. Questions will be presented to council in the order they were received, though there may not be time to get to all of them.
Please follow the city’s guidelines for a respectful meeting when submitting questions to council.
Keep in mind, when you submit a question, comment or suggestion, it will be recorded and become part of the public record in accordanace with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
