An 18-year-old Coquitlam man has been charged with two counts of mischief following a police investigation of graffiti vandalism at local schools.
Cpl. Jamie Chung of the Coquitlam RCMP has confirmed that Dyllon Roberts will be making a second appearance in court March 7.
Two other youths were identified as part of an ongoing investigation between the RCMP, with the co-operation of School District 43.
However, Chung said charges have not been laid and it is possible that the two youths, who are under the age of 18, could go through a restorative justice program.
"It is probably a better system for the youth than going through the courts," Chung said, noting that the School District 43 might get some benefit, too, if the youths are remorseful and willing to make amends.
