Coquitlam postpones public hearings, council meetings will continue

City of Coquitlam is urging residents who want to watch council meetings to watch them online; it will institute social distancing provisions at council meetings

The city of Coquitlam has cancelled an upcoming public hearing March 30 and a town hall meeting April 2 over concerns about the spread of COVID-19.

The city of Coquitlam has cancelled an upcoming public hearing March 30 and a town hall meeting April 2 over concerns about the spread of COVID-19.

In a press release Wednesday, the city said it would still be holding regular council and committee meetings but would be “instituting social distancing provisions.” The notice also reminded residents that regular meetings can be viewed online at coquitlam.ca/webcasts. 

Coquitlam residents can get more information and updates regarding city facilities and services at coquitlam.ca/covid19. There is also an information line where residents can ask questions following a recorded update at 604-927-4383. Operators are available between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. seven days a week or by email at [email protected].
