The Coquitlam RCMP is investigating a shooting in the 3000-block of Coast Meridian Road in Port Coquitlam overnight.
No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred at around 1:30 a.m., but police cordoned off a home with yellow tape just south of Prairie Avenue. As of 10:30 a.m., officers were still on scene investigating.
According to the Coquitlam RCMP, the incident does not appear to be random, however it is too early to say whether the incident was targeted.
Cruisers with flashing lights parked in front of the home reduced Coast Meridian to single-lane traffic southbound, backing up vehicles all the way to Prairie Avenue during the Friday morning rush hour.
