Acting on a tip, Coquitlam RCMP searched a home in the 1700-block of Haversley Avenue where a suspected drug lab was found Thursday evening.
"First, we have indication to suggest there was a [clandestine] lab there - based on the smell and history of the house," said Coquitlam RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jamie Chung.
"Whether there is a lab in there or not we have to wait for the [RCMP E-Division Clandestine Lab Team] expert [for confirmation]."
No charges have been laid at this point; however, two people who were at the home at the time of the incident were arrested, added Chung.
Coquitlam Fire and Rescue were called by the RCMP for decontamination assistance at the scene.
"It's a police investigation at this time," said Coquitlam fire chief Wade Pierlot.
