Police are not naming names but have issued a press release about the death of teenager Wednesday night.
The sudden death of the teenager was not suspicious in nature and Coquitlam RCMP have ruled out foul play.
In a press statement issued this afternoon, police say they attended a Port Coquitlam home just before 6 p.m. Wednesday to investigate the teen's death.
The BC Coroners Service has been contacted and continues to investigate. As well, the Coquitlam RCMP Victim Services Unit is working closely with the teen's family to ensure they have access to all available supports and resources as they deal with their loss. At this time the family is not prepared to speak publicly. They have asked that their privacy be respected and that all enquiries be directed to the Coquitlam RCMP media relations team.
