A Port Coquitlam neighbourhood awoke to the sound of gunfire on Christmas morning.
Coquitlam RCMP say reports of a shooting inside a home in the 2400-block of Kitchener Avenue came in at about 5 a.m. When officers arrived they found a 39-year-old man with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect had already fled the scene and no arrests have yet been made.
Police believe the shooting was not random and the public is not at risk, according to Sgt. Terry MacDonald.
