Coquitlam RCMP seek suspect's ID in alleged convenience store robbery

Coquitlam RCMP are asking for the public's help after an attempted convenience store robbery earlier this month. According to police, on the afternoon of Jan. 5, a young woman walked into the store in the 2700-block of Lougheed Hwy.

According to police, on the afternoon of Jan. 5, a young woman walked into the store in the 2700-block of Lougheed Hwy. and demanded money from the cashier. When the suspect said she had a gun, the cashier panicked and pressed the bell to get the attention of another employee who was at the back. As soon as the second employee came out, the alleged robber fled the store on foot without any cash.

The woman is described as a Caucasian in her teens with a slim build, 4'11" tall with black hair. At the time, she was wearing a black jacket, black hoodie and black pants, and was carrying a brown bag.
