Coquitlam district school support workers have voted in favour of strike action.
In a vote taken recently, 87.4% of CUPE Local 561 memberes voted in favour of strike action. "The members of CUPE Local 561 have sent a strong message that they want to be able to negotiate a fair and reasonable contract," local president Dave Ginter stated in a press release.
CUPE represents clerical staff, custodians, special education assistants and other support workers in School District 43.
