Coquitlam surgeon to be appointed to the Order of B.C. today in live-streamed ceremony

Coquitlam surgeon Dr Kimit Rai will be one of 15 British Columbians honoured today, June 28, with the Order of B.C. 

He was tapped for the honour for his decades of work treating some of the world’s poorest children suffering with facial deformities and serious burn injuries.

The ceremony will be streamed online from Government House in Victoria today at 11 a.m. and can be watched here.

Celebrating its 30th year of existence, the Order of B.C. is considered the highest honour the province can extend to a long-term resident of British Columbia and is awarded to individuals who excel in any field of endeavour.
