Coquitlam’s past is now in the digital age.
The city’s archives has just completed a project to digitize 50 years of council committee meetings, from 1946 to 1996.
The minutes cover decades of decision making for committees and topics like parks and recreation, board of variance, land use, bargaining, Burke Mountain, civil defence, the city’s history, land sales, the library, public works, safety and zoning.
They can all be explored using the city’s online search portal, Quest which can be found at coquitlam.ca/archives. The project received matched funding from the British Columbia History Digitization Program.
Council committee minutes since 1996 can be accessed through searcharchives.coquitlam.ca/index.php/council-committee-minutes.
