When a Westwood Plateau resident saw a man smash the window of a neighbour's vehicle, police were quickly called and were able to arrest the alleged robber a few blocks away.

"The concerted efforts of our uniformed officers and Prolific Target Team investigations put a stop to this one man crime spree," said Cpl. Jamie Chung. "In our experience, a handful of prolific or priority offenders are responsible for a disproportionally huge number of criminal acts. Our crime reduction strategy effectively reduces crime by focusing on these individuals."

Dustin Collins, a 38-year-old Port Moody man, is facing two counts of possession of a break-in instrument, break and enter, attempted break and enter and theft.

He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
