The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train tour is coming to a close, with its final stop in Port Moody tomorrow night (Tuesday).
On board will be the Juno Award-winning Doc Walker and Miss Emily to entertain crowds with a mix of country, blues and, of course, Christmas tunes.
Holiday revelers should note the CP Holiday Train will be stopping behind the Port Moody recreation centre; the location was moved from the bottom of Queens Street due to Evergreen Line construction.
And be sure to bring some donations for the Share food bank. Since 1999 the Holiday Train has raised nearly $6.4 million and almost three million pounds of food for North American food banks.
Everything raised in each community stays in that community for local distribution.
Last week Prime Minister Stephen Harper honoured the rolling food bank train with a Prime Minister's Volunteer Awards, recognizing the community and employee volunteers who make the annual fundraiser a success.
The CP Holiday Train will be stopping behind the Port Moody recreation centre (300 Ioco Rd.) at about 9 p.m. and the show begins at 9:15 p.m. Visit www.cpr.ca for more information.
