Crowds flock to Coquitlam for Canada Day

Town Centre Park in Coquitlam was buzzing with activities on July 1.

Ten Souljers got the crowd dancing in Town Centre Park for Coquitlam's Canada Day celebrations last night (Monday).

The Vancouver party band performed hits from Canadian musicians and got the audience singing to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody — as well as the national anthem — before the sky lit up with pyrotechnics at 10 p.m.

But, for the eight hours prior, families gathered on the festival site (east of Lafarge Lake) to take in the activities and to watch the entertainment.
