Kevin Desmond recently took over the post of TransLink CEO and will speak at an upcoming Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

With just two months of experience running Metro Vancouver's transportation authority, Kevin Desmond will face local business leaders next week during a Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

Desmond recently took over the post of TransLink CEO and with the EvergreenLine expected to open early next year and new bus routes planned to accommodate it, is expected to have lots to say when he speaks at the May 27 chamber lunch at the Executive Plaza Hotel in Coquitlam.

Desmond hails from Seattle, where he was the King County Metro Transit's general manager. He oversaw King County's launch of light rail, bus rapid transit lines and street car service while transit ridership grew 44%.
