Donations and offers of support continue to pour in for the rebuild of the Mossom Creek Hatchery, which was destroyed by fire earlier this month.
The Port Moody local of the International Association of Fire Fighters was the latest organization to offer some money to help with the effort and last week the city of Port Moody approved $10,000 in emergency funding for the organization.
People have also been digging out photographs and newspaper clippings to help the hatchery rebuild its archives.
Residents and supporters are also welcome to donate.
Cheques can be sent to the Mossom Creek Hatchery (300 Ioco Road, Port Moody, B.C., V3H 2V7) and made payable to the Port Moody Foundation. Be sure to cinlude "For Mossom Creek Project" in the cheque memo line so funds can be directed accordingly. Tax receipts will be issued for donations through the Port Moody Foundation.
Online donations will also be accepted by going to the Port Moody Foundation website (www.portmoodyfoundation.bc.ca) and choosing Mossom Creek Hatchery fund under the Donate Now button.
Funds can be donated in person through a direct deposit to the Mossom Creek Hatchery account at any TD Canada Trust branch. Please quote account number 539-5000965.

On December 11, fire broke out at the Mossom Creek Hatchery, destroying their main education centre along with thousands of fish eggs and chum.
The hatchery started as a school project in 1976 by Ruth Foster and Rod MacVicar, teachers at Centennial secondary school and is run by the Burrard Inlet Marine Enhancement Society.
