Port Moody police are warning homeowners not to leave garage doors open or leave valuable possessions out in the open after a number of thefts over the past several weeks.
PMPD spokesperson Const. Luke van Winkel said thieves are looking for crimes of opportunity and police have been fielding calls from people whose bicycles were stolen and two residential break-ins in the Panorama and Tuxedo Drive areas.
In once instance, the garage door was left open.
