An elderly woman is in serious condition in hospital after she was hit in a Port Moody crosswalk this morning.
Const. Luke van Winkel said Port Moody Police officers were called at 11:15 a.m. Monday for reports of a woman who'd been hit in the crosswalk at Glenayre Drive and Glencoe Drive. She was taken to hospital in serious condition and has since been listed in stable condition.
The driver stayed at the scene and police are investigating.
"At this point weather appears to be a contributing factor," van Winkel said.
Police will be investigating whether there were any other contributing factors.
