ELECTION 2014: Belcarra candidates to sound off

Belcarra residents running for a civic seat in the Tri-City village will sound off on issues at an all-candidates' debate next week. Voters can hear the mayoral, council and school board contenders speak on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.

Belcarra residents running for a civic seat in the Tri-City village will sound off on issues at an all-candidates' debate next week.

Voters can hear the mayoral, council and school board contenders speak on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. at the village hall (4084 Bedwell Bay Rd.)

For the Nov. 15 election, Mayor Ralph Drew is being challenged by Michael Robson. Council chairs are sought by incumbents Bruce Drake, Jennifer Glover and Jamie Ross as well as newcomers Sean James, Perry Muxworthy and Janet Ruzycki.

And, for the one SD43 seat available for villages of Anmore and Belcarra, the candidates are: Trustee Holly Butterfield and Celia Chiang, Gwen Chute and Kerri Palmer Isaac.
