ELECTION 2014: Callan Morrison running for council seat in Port Moody

Newport Village resident and Port Moody business owner Callan Morrison has announced he intends to run for a city council seat in the Nov. 15 election.

Newport Village resident and Port Moody business owner Callan Morrison has announced he intends to run for a city council seat in the Nov. 15 election.

Morrison said he believes in looking at challenges from multiple angles to find the most efficient way to solve them.

"I believe that the next 10 years are going to be critical in establishing the future of our beautiful city and protecting and adding to its heritage, parks and community feel," Morrison said in a release. "I am committed to making sure that our community feel is not lost with the rapid change approaching."

Morrison sits on the city's parks and recreation commission and he has volunteered at the Port Moody Day Picnic and coached with the PoMo Lacrosse Association.
