A Coquitlam MLA who is backing a slate in the city is one of two Tri-City MLAs on a provincial committee that is now looking at election expense limits for electoral groups and third-party advertisers.

NDP MLA Selina Robinson (Coquitlam-Maillardville) - a former Coquitlam city councillor who has endorsed the Protect Coquitlam slate along with another former councillor, NDP MP Fin Donnelly (New Westminster-Coquitlam) - is consulting the public on the topic this and next month with a special committee that includes BC Liberal Linda Reimer, the MLA for Port Moody-Coquitlam.

The committee, which has Robinson as its vice-chair, will be making its recommendations to the legislative assembly by June.

Anyone wanting to make a written submission on election expense limits for electoral organizations and third-party advertisers can go online to: https://www.leg.bc.ca/cmt/leel.index.asp.
