Union locals representing Port Coquitlam civic workers and firefighters this week released their endorsement lists for candidates running in next month's municipal election.
And many of the names on the CUPE Local 498 and IAFF 1941 lists are the same.
The PoCo city workers' CUPE local is endorsing Greg Moore for mayor and, for council, incumbents Glenn Pollock, Brad West, Darrell Penner and Dean Washington, as well as first-time candidates Laura Dupont and Nancy McCurrach.
The PoCo firefighters are also backing Mayor Moore and councillors West, Penner and Pollock as well as Dupont.
The endorsements mean financial donations to campaigns and ground support, if needed.
