Longtime trustee Gail Alty wants voters to elect her again because of her experience.

Longtime trustee Gail Alty wants voters to elect her again because of her experience. According to her statement, Alty is married with two adult children, has years of experience volunteering and working on behalf of students in Coquitlam - as parent volunteer, founding PAC president, DPAC president, Orton-Gillingham tutor, school secretary/SEA and trustee.

"I have always based decisions on the needs of students first. I believe in the worth of every child. I value input from our education partners/community and the work of our teachers and other staff."

According to the School District 43 website, Alty was first elected to the board of school trustees in 1993.
