Veteran school trustee Holly Butterfield is launching her campaign for school trustee in Anmore/Belcarra saying she has the experience to work in an increasingly complicated educational environment.

First elected in 1996, Butterfield has been both chair and vice-chair of the School District 43 board of education. She say she finds the work "very meaningful" and is proud of her advocacy and the construction of capital projects such as Heritage Mountain secondary school in Port Moody, upgrades to Anmore elementary, and the new Eagle Mountain middle school, also in Anmore.

"Students and their education are our future and I hope to continue to work hard for a system that supports our next generation," Butterfield stated in a press release.
