Liam Coughlan is running for school trustee in Port Coquitlam to make a positive difference in his community.

In addition to being a parent, Coughlan, 50, has management experience in B.C.'s two largest school districts. From 2000-2006, he was the associate director of business development and corporate services for Surrey and from 2011-2012, was the acting rentals and leases supervisor for Vancouver. "I take the word trustee very seriously, and, as we focus on serving the students we are entrusted with, we must also ensure that we manage the funds and facilities we are entrusted with for the benefit of all taxpayers," Coughlan said in a statement.
