ELECTION 2014: Michael Thomas seeks first term in Port Coquitlam

Port Coquitlam resident Michael Thomas is seeking to represent PoCo on the School District 43 board of education.

Port Coquitlam resident Michael Thomas is seeking to represent PoCo on the School District 43 board of education.

Thomas is a married father of three who has volunteered on several council committees, the May Day Task Force and is a director of the PoCo Heritage Society. He is also a small business owner in the computer sector and member of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce. Thomas is a familiar face to many as he helped spearhead the new PoCo Museum in Leigh Square and he also ran for Port Coquitlam City Council in 2011.

Hoping to make a difference for kids across the community, Thomas is a volunteer coach with PoCo Soccer, an executive member of the District Parent Advisory Council and also the Irvine Elementary PAC.
