ELECTION 2014: One out of Coquitlam race

Tri-City candidates vying for a seat at the municipal or school board table have until 4 p.m today (Friday) to pull out of the race. And one Coquitlam council contender has already withdrawn his name from the Nov. 15 election.

Chief election officer Kerri Lore said Mo Shariati withdrew from the contest on Thursday morning.

Election officers for Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra confirmed all nominated candidates were in place as of The Tri-City News' print deadline Thursday afternoon.
