The union local representing Port Moody municipal and library workers as well as the city's civilian police staff unveiled its list of endorsed candidates on Tuesday.

The union local representing Port Moody municipal and library workers as well as the city's civilian police staff unveiled its list of endorsed candidates on Tuesday.

CUPE Local 825 president Raman Braich announced the local was backing Mayor Mike Clay for re-election and, for council, incumbents Rick Glumac and Rosemary Small as well as candidates Chris Carter, Barbara Junker, Anne Ladouceur and Robert Vagramov.

Last week, as reported in The Tri-City News, CUPE Local 498, representing Port Coquitlam civic workers, said it was supporting PoCo Mayor Greg Moore, incumbents Glenn Pollock, Brad West, Darrell Penner and Dean Washington, and first-time candidates Laura Dupont and Nancy McCurrach.

The endorsements mean financial donations to campaigns and other help, if needed.
