Voters in B.C. can head to the polls early to cast their votes before the provincial general election on May 14. Advance voting runs until tomorrow (Saturday) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. In the Tri-Cities, the advance voting places for each riding are:
Coquitlam-Burke Mountain: Eagle Ridge Bible Fellowship (1160 Lansdowne Dr., Coquitlam); Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam); and Henderson Place (1163 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam);
Coquitlam-Maillardville: Blue Mountain Baptist Church (450 Blue Mountain St., Coquitlam); and Coquitlam Alliance Church (2601 Spuraway Ave., Coquitlam);
Port Coquitlam: Hope Lutheran Christian School (3151 York St., PoCo); and Royal Canadian Legion (2675 Shaughnessy St., PoCo);
Port Moody-Coquitlam: Coquitlam Presbyterian Church (948 Como Lake Ave., Coquitlam); and Port Moody recreation complex (300 Ioco Rd., PoMo).

AM I ELIGIBLE TO VOTE?
To vote in a B.C. election, adults must:
be a Canadian citizen;
be 18 years of age or older on general voting day ;
be a resident of the electoral district;
have been a B.C. for at least six months immediately before general voting day;
be registered as a voter for the electoral district;
and not be disqualified by the Election Act.
WHAT DO I BRING?
Bring the yellow card that was mailed to your home last week. As well, voters must prove their identity and current residential address to get a ballot. These include: a B.C. driver's licence, B.C. identification card, B.C. services card or Certificate of Indian Status.
