Another storm tracking of the Pacific Ocean is set to bring heavy rains to the Tri-City area New Year’s Eve, dropping up to 60 millimetres of rain over the next 24 hours.
The rainfall, expected to begin Friday evening and continue into Jan. 1, is forecast to impact a band of Metro Vancouver stretching from the North Shore into Coquitlam.
With a predicted 40 and 60 millimetres of precipitation, Environment Canada is warning of localized flooding in low-lying areas.
