Girders that will connect the Evergreen Line to the existing SkyTrain system at Lougheed Station are expected to go up in the coming months and some nighttime work is required.
Beginning the week of April 28, there will be two mornings of work within a three-week period when crews will start at 5 a.m. on the structure that will go over top of several North Road businesses.
Scaffolding and fencing will be setup over North Road between Gatineau Place and the Lougheed Highway in mid-May, a process that should take approximately two weeks.
Some lane closures and detours are expected while crews are setting up for the deck installation and nighttime noise related to concrete pouring, heavy machinery and truck movement is expected.
Installation and concrete pours for the deck will take approximately two months to complete and most of the work will be done during the day. Crews expect the entire process to be done by July.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to use caution when accessing the area.
