The building of the $1.4-billion rapid-transit line from Lougheed Town Centre to Coquitlam City Centre is now underway and is set to be complete by the summer of 2016. There will be seven stations: Lougheed Town Centre, Burquitlam, Port Moody, Ioco, Coquitlam Central, Lincoln and Douglas/Lafarge Lake.

By 2021, Evergreen is expected to transport up to 70,000 passengers daily.
